To start to play your Barbarian set your point per level in this way: 3 Strength, 1 Dexterity, 1 Vitality. Use this method until you reach level 100 and be able to make a good equipment. Don't worry about to set your points for endgame, because at level 100 you have to rebirth twice and you can reset points for free. Once you have a good equipment (Nirvana 3rd cast, Rank gears, etc) and you are starting your second rebirth, you can choose your build.

Builds are different for PvE (Player VS Environment = Quest and Dungeons) and PvP (Player VS Player = Territory War etc..)

For PvE you don't really need high HP because you need to learn the mechanics of the Dungeons to be able to stay alive and also farming and questing is easy with a basic Nirvana 3rd cast set with cheap shards and little refine. I suggest to set the points on Dexterity just enough to equip your weapon and armor and all you can in Strength. With a full Strength build you can do your quest faster and still tanking or dealing damage in Dungeons. For your cultivation follow the Demon path. Demon will help with Accuracy and Critical Hit that can be helpful for questing or killing boss.

For PvP there are different builds and gameplay, but everything start with defense level shards or vitality shards in your equipment and a weapon with Purify Spell. There is no more space for attack level Barbarians because we don't have any super-powered skill (Armageddon hurt but need some work to bypass defense charm), our stunlock is weak and we struggle to reach our target. Use attack level shards would be a risk because we can't tank the damage from ranged magic class with God of Frenzy on their weapons and we can't use some important skills (Roar for example). With defense level shards and Purify Spell weapon plus an Attack weapon you can build based on your favourite play style. You can go full Vitality and Sage to play as a classic Tank (stay in front of your squad and take damage for them) or you can go full Strength, up to you if Demon or Sage, for dealing damage or play as a support.

If you want to be good at both PvE and PvP with an unique build, you can follow the Demon full Strength path.

Tiger/Panda form add more Health Point and with Shapeshift Intensity grants more Physical Defense.

Weapon
A pure Tank doesn’t need a strong weapon, but better to look for Defense Level or any kind of attribute that can help to reduce the damage taken.

Dominator’s Maul (Rank 8 2nd/3rd cast)
: It is the basic weapon of a Tank Barbarian. Not expensive and can provide around 25 Defense Level (or more if lucky) as main attribute.
Dragonbreath Weapon (Grade 17): 5th cast with 80 Defense Level and Purify Spell as defensive attribute is the must. This weapon is very expensive, but also 3rd cast (farmable) with Purify Spell can be good. I really suggest Purify Spell as main bonus, but nothing forbids to have multiple G17 weapons with different bonus, Dimlight Figure (Untargettable) and Benevolent Ward (Immune to damage for 8 seconds) are the best after Purify Spell.

Support is a very versatile build and there are different way to use the genie. Since you have to do double job (Tank and DD), depend on the size of PvP, you need to use a different genie. In a small event you can use a strengh genie to use some skills for stunlock (Occult Ice) and for debuff (Tangling Mire). In a large event, where is harder to survive, would be preferable to use a vitality genie with Absolute Domain and Faith.

For all the quiet PvE lovers, that want to enjoy with quests, storyline and dungeons, the life is not so simple. PvE requires his abilities and knowledge, other then of your class, also of the trap and the boss of the different dungeons.
A PvE Barbarian can be required for:
- Pull a group of monsters: Barbarian can pull a large group of monsters, then Invoke, Roar to generate threat (aggro), then run back to the squad for a massive kill. This ability is required in Phoenix Valley, Delta and Froscovered City.
- Tank a Boss. It means to generate enough threat (aggro). This way the boss hit you instead of your squad mate. Can be necessary if the squad members can die from the Boss damage or with some Boss that use a frontal AoE that 1 shot every non-Barbarian class.  (Golden Toad in Flowsilver Palace for example)
- Nuke a Boss. Barbarian has a strong skill for PvE (Violent Triumph with a Verdant glyph increase damage of your skills by 120% to monsters) that, used with Blood Rush, squad debuff and Armageddon, help to kill some boss in few seconds.
- Tank 1-Shot abilities. Boss in the recent dungeons can kill every player in 1 hit if you don't use the right mechanics. Sometime mechanics are hard to do and Cornered Beast with Sanguine glyph give you immunity to most of the 1 shot and help the squad to success.

DEMON Why? Demon help to deal damage with a better critical hit with Bestial Onslaught, better accuracy with Blood Bath (good when you pull and kill a group of monsters) and increase attack rate (good for APS to kill single monsters).

Strength is the most important attribute to increase your physical attack and be able to do more damage.

There are different dungeons at different levels. Talk about gears is hard because for some dungeons, Barbarians are necessary and if you can tank the boss your gears doesn't really matter. For some other dungeons, Barbarians are not necessary (our buff is replaced by ) and we don't have any really strong debuff, so people will get you only if you have high gears to deal damage.
