Welcome to
RoarKing.it fellow visitors.
Welcome to the kingdom of big cats, videogames and humor.
My name is Davide, I'm
born in 1985 and I live in a small town near lakes in
the north of Italy.
I had the luck to "use"
tecnology since I was a child, my uncle gifted me an
Amiga 600 for my 8th birthday and few years later I got
a Pentium II. First purpose was, of course, videogames!
Most of the time was spent to understand how to start a
game with floppy disk and commands... was a roulette to
make a game works at first try, but working around that
to find solutions (without internet and google at that
time) was fun too and makes me understand a lot of
things about computers. Once I got a Pentium 4, the old
Pentium II become a labs; I had fun time programming
easy apps, overclocking (moving jumpers on motherboard
untill something burn xD) and all I wanted to test.
Yes, I'm that old :P
With this passion about
computers and technology (I was following magazines and
exhibitions), and the luck to assist to the big
evolution between '90 and 2000, I finished my study as a
Chef. Italians and food you will say... Honestly I still
don't know why I decided to become a Chef and work in a
restaurant. But life is strange.
After some years in a
restaurant, I decided to follow my heart and find a work
as a computer technician. So I started to find this job
with a Chef title in my curriculum, and watching
everyone asking me "you studied 5 years to cook food,
why you want to repair computers?". I usually replied "to
match both my passions, computers and food. Give me a
server with 2 Intel Xeon, I can remove the heatsink,
overclock them and cook everything you want". Joke apart,
I started to work for free untill someone saw my skill
and decided to give me a chance.
Since that, is about
from 2010 that I work as a technician first, then I got
promoted as system admin junior. And I like that, all I've
learned in this years, I did it by myself.
Technology is not my
only focus. I love nature, adventures. I tried to play
with snakes, take a tarantula in my hands, make a shower
to an elephant but, the best experience I had in my
life, was to meet a tiger. I was in honeymoon (Yes, I
found a fool girl that want me <3), we planned to go in
Japan but, cause of Covid-19, Japan closed all the
flights. So we opted for Thailand. Once in Thailand I
found a place called "Tiger Park" where you can meet
real tigers and I asked to my wife to go there, as the
same as a child cry for a toy to his parents. The owners
use the park to gather founds to protect wild tigers
around Asia. They teach you everything about tigers and
other big cats, and you can meet them. School and
practice. Amazing! |
